Concert Band is a mandatory class for all band members (unless otherwise discussed with the director of bands), EXCEPT for percussionists (who should sign up for Percussion 1, 2, 3, or 4). This class covers fundamentals of music including music theory, music history, and instrumental performance pedagogy. The members in this ensemble will perform wind band literature and will be strongly encouraged to audition for local festival and competitions, which will be discussed in advance.
