chamber ensembles

The development of our student’s individual musicianship is vital to the success of our band program. Through the participation in small chamber ensembles formed throughout the year and performance of a wide variety of chamber music, we are able to achieve much success in this area. Our students are encouraged to form brass and woodwind quintets, quartets, trios, flute choirs, saxophone ensembles, tuba / euphonium quartets and ensembles, trombone choirs, clarinet choirs, horn choirs, brass choirs, and many other combinations. These ensembles will rehearse outside of class time and once a week during the band class we will hold “Chamber Monday’s” and allow some time for these ensembles to rehearse in class. We strongly encourage our students to take on as many performing opportunities as possible in and around the community and school. We also strongly encourage participation in the SCBDA Solo & Ensemble Festival held in late Spring.
